Description
This Wishbone 24" professional tile cutter features the exclusive Articulate View handle and magnetic pop-upwards breaker bar, which allows the user full view of the wheel and the tile being cut. Its unique design characteristic takes the guesswork out of making a perfect score. It is equipped with dual chrome-plated steel track, a replaceable 7/viii" tungsten carbide ball bearing cut bike, and an adaptable measuring guide for authentic, repeat cuts. In addition, the ball bearing railroad vehicle ensures the user a smooth score leading to cleaner accurate cuts, the extra-thick padding provides a non-slip, stable platform for the tile, and padded side extension arms aid back up large format tiles.

When I am cutting 5/16 porcelain tile, it breaks corners on each side of the score line What am I doing wrong
Flip the Breaker Bar up. Then identify the cutting wheel on the rear edge of the tile. Then, while applying medium force per unit area, slide the wheel forward the full length of the tile, scoring the tile surface glaze as the handle is pushed forrad. It is important to brand ane continuous motion, scoring the surface simply once per tile. After scoring, and without moving the tile, flip the breaker bar down. Position the handle then that the breaker pes is slightly in from the front edge of the tile and front end cease. Apply increasing pressure on the handle until the tile snaps along the score line. Replace the carbide scoring wheel when dull afterwards repeated utilize.

Will this cutting a 18” tile diagonally which is 25 ane/4”
The cutting bed is only 24 3/4" so will non diagonally cut your 18" tile. Other than that information technology's a great tile cutter.

Does this cut glass tiles too?
This tile cutter is designed for scoring a tile surface glaze, but not for drinking glass tile. I would advise a portable tile cutter or wet saw with the correct blade designed for glass or glass tile nippers for a pocket-sized job.

Does this cutter practice angled cuts?
Yes, this cutter will handle angled cuts upwardly to 18" diagonally, 1/2" thick. The cutting guide can exist adjusted to the desired angle and locked in place. Thanks for choosing QEP.

Rated 1 out of 5 by duckp from Complete garbage Tried ii of these. Both terrible. Ruined 3x its price in tile. Rented a different brand and had no problems. The magnet fell out of QEP cutter #two right out of the box. No hope in rip cutting 24" at all. Breaks off in a J shape 3"4 down. Does information technology in cross cuts alot to and almost always chipped corners. Terrible. Again, some other make didnt practice this. Of course this review wont make the site.None of my negative reviews ever do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Alan G from Worked very well for the tile that I used I got this a week ago to re tile my bathroom. I purchased 12" ten 24" tiles and needed something which could handle the job. Im almost done the job and I could have done the job without this equally i already have an bending grinder with the proper blade to cut these type of tiles, however this gets the job done on straight cuts in well-nigh one 10th the time so Im happy I bought this. Later reading the one bad review on this product I thought I might be returning it, but this tool is a keeper! :o)

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mathew1234 from Very happy with this buy After becoming somewhat frustrated with my wet saw, I decided to give this product a try since I have a large bathroom remodel coming up. Needless to say, this production performed very well. Quite easy to use and very easy to snap tiles. The cuts are clean and simply require minimal sanding. This will definitely be my goto for tile piece of work instead of the wet saw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bane from Cracking addition to tool collection Purchased this product to accompany my moisture tile saw and angle grinder with diamond blade. Convenient tool as yous can employ within and make quick cuts with ease up to 24". The merely problem with tile snap is that you tin can't cut cut off an inch or two (case: you need ten" from a 12" tile you may have difficulty making this cut with tile snap) only that'due south where the moisture saw or angle grinder can come up into play. Overall astonishing tool that saves fourth dimension and headaches of going in and out of firm for cuts. Overall smashing product.

J'étais content d'avoir trouvé à un bon prix, mais tout de même à $130 plus taxes. Je k'attendais a une meilleure finition du produit et surtout pas d'y trouver un défaut de formulation. Il y a une perte de 2 mm entre l'équerre et le levier du guide d'angle (cascade les coupes en long). Cela ne semble pas énorme, mais cela fait toute une différence dans le rendu final. Svp corrigez-moi si je me trompe.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Merely nickname not used from Works well At present, I have only used this cutter on porcelain tiles. It'south ready to go right out of the box. Scoring is easy and the breaking machinery is uncomplicated and works well. Dainty to exist able to cut tile rapidly and without all the dissonance, dust and water all over the place. I'yard glad I tried information technology. Got a reasonable bargain on it as Lowe'southward had it on sale. Only a few downwardly sides that I've noticed so far. 1. It doesn't e'er cut perfectly clean; it's certainly shut, but in some areas I would have liked the break to be a fleck cleaner. 2. The tile you are cutting needs to be at to the lowest degree a couple of inches wide or the breaking mechanism won't be able to break it properly (eg. Can't shave off a little sliver). 3. It tin can't cut mosaic tiles that come in sheets or if yous demand to notch a tile for a corner; it'due south best for a full direct cutting on single tiles. All in all information technology's a good purchase, but it can't practice everything; you'll notwithstanding need some other type of cutter to be able to practice all the cutting yous'll demand to do on regular jobs.

Rated 1 out of 5 past TeriAnnD from Do Not recommend using for 6" x 24" tile We attempted to utilise this tile cutter to cut 6" x 24" tile. Nosotros followed the instructions carefully, and later on reading the reviews, we made sure that our cuts had at least two-3 inches on either side. Yet, fifty% of our tiles bankrupt in one-half and were completely wasted. The other one-half concluded up as shown in the picture, and the cuts had to exist completed with a grinder. This tool may work with ok12" tile or smaller simply I certainly wouldn't recommend using it for 24".
